Hull #14; Launched as C1-M-!V1 class cargo vessel for U. S. Maritime Commission, Required by U. S. Navy on 1/20/1945 and commissioned on 2/22/1945; Arrived at Pearl Harbor on 5/6/1945 with cargo for Eniwrtok, Saipan and Guam Returned to San Francisco on 7/18/1945; Cleared there on August 13, with stops at Okinawa, Guam, Manus, Saipan, Eniwetok and the Philippines; Returned to San Francisco on 1/30/1946; Then sailed to Baltimore, Ma., where she was decommissioned on 4/2/1946; Returned to Maritime Commission on 4/4/1946;
