History
Classification:
a. Schooner, Margaret Helm* (1836-1845)
Nationality:
American (1836-1845)
Chronology:

1. 11/00/1845, Lake Michigan, sank, total loss, $1, 500 loss;

Notes
General notes:
* The newspapers and some of the official enrollments referred to her as Margarett Helme, Margart Helme, or Margaret Helen, which were errors;
** This enrollment has two errors: one says she was built in 1837 and the other states that she had a figure head; These errors continued in the enrollments that followed;
***The master abstracts gives the first tonnage as 79 + 2/95 which then becomes 79 + 10/95 in the enrollments;
