Detroit Advertiser and Tribune: 12/22/1866, says the Bark Montmorency was built at St. Catharines in 1866, 400 tons, owned by Merrick Company;
Detroit Advertiser and Tribune: 12/24/1866, says the Bark, Sovereign of the Lake was rebuilt at St. Catharines and her name was changed to Montmorency;
