She was renamed "Orion" on 4/5/1949; Her final documentation surrendered in October, 11965, noted as scrapped; Forward section was reduced to a 120' derrick barge owned by Capital Dredge & Dock Corporation, Lorain, Ohio; A section sank 1,000 feet off Lorain lighthouse on 7/23/1968, while being towed from Toledo to Cleveland; Section was raised and pulled onto the beach by the Corps of Engineers on 8/2/1968;
