General notes:
She received a new pilot house in the winter of 1976-1976; Pilot house was made at Port Weller and installed while she was tied up below Lock #1 in the Welland Canal;
She was enlarged by joining forward end of Schwab to the after end of the ocean tanker, Gulfport; This was done in the winter of 1960-1961, by the American Ship Building Company and a new official # was issued on 3/21/1951; The after end of the Schwab and forward end of the Gulfport were scrapped at Ashtabula, Ohio, in 1961;
