General notes:
She was built to run between Black Rock and Waterloo, Union of Canada, about 3/4 of a mile distance. She was propelled by four horses and crossed from a pier off Ferry Street to Col. Warren's dock at Waterloo, which takes about five minutes. The machinery was built by Langdon and the whole cost of the ferry was $1,500;
