General notes:
*Wisconsin Historical Collection, Vol. XI, p. 199 says she was built at the Navy Island in 1764; Beers says she was built at Fort Erie; Ontario Historical Society, Vol. 33, p. 90 says she was launched in 1763, at Navy Island, in the Niagara River and was armed with eight guns; H. R. Howland, "Navy Island and the First Successors to the Griffon", Buffalo Historical Society Publications, Vol. 6, (1903), p. 30, 31: agrees with the Ontario Historical Society;
**The vessel attacked was the Schooner, Huron, not the Gladwyn, as she was at Fort Erie on this date.
Last noted in 1770, sailing Lake Erie armed with eight guns;
7/30,1778, she was reported as totally decayed;
Appears as "Gladwin" in some of the documents examined;
Macpherson list her built in 1764 at Navy Island, armed with eight guns; Last noted in 1770;
