General notes:: *Cuthbertson says she was built in 1777 at Navy Island, and was 47' x 18' x 7';
**Alexander Grant owned the vessel, but she was employed by the British Crown.
***Telescope, Vol. 31, Number 4, July - August: says the date of the disaster was 10/13/1783, and that she was equipped
with 20 oars as an experiment in 1779;
1777-1778, noted on Lake Erie, armed with 4 swivel guns;
At one time she was armed with four 4 pounders and six swivel guns;
Michigan Pioneer Collection, Vol. 24, p. 12: List of his Majesty's armed vessels on Lake Erie, 1783, has the Faith built
at Detroit in 1775, 37 tons, and lost in November, 1783;
Macpherson list her as wrecked in December, 1783;
