Michigan Pioneer Collection, Vol. 24, p. 12: List of his Majesty's armed vessel on Lake Erie, 1783, has the Gage built at
Detroit in 1774, armed with 12 guns, and 114 tons;
7/30/1778, still in service, armed with sixteen carriage guns and six swivels;
Telescope, Vol. 31, Number 4, July - August: says she was built as a schooner and was named for General Thomas Gage;
Macpherson list her as a schooner;
