* Her official name is "Packet" and she ran out of Dunkirk, New York; The newspapers referred to her as "Packet of Dunkirk" which soon became "Dunkirk Packet" or sometimes just "Dunkirk"; To confuse the issue even further, she was referred
to by the newspapers as "Packet of Detroit" and "Detroit Packet" when she was owned in Detroit, Michigan, (1824-1826); When she arrived at Detroit, Michigan for the first time from Sandusky, Ohio, she was referred to as the "Sandusky Packet";
