*Samuel Ward was the superintendent of the build;
Machinery: Vertical Beam, low pressure, engine built by Novelty Iron Works, New York; Cylinder: 40" diameter x 10' stroke; Wheels, 38' diameter;
She was also known as "Sam Ward";
It is possible that the bottom of the Steamer, Sam Ward, was used in the building of the Propeller J. S. Seaverns, (#76152), in 1880, at Saugatuck, Michigan;
