General notes:
*Early American Steamers says she was built by John L. Wolverton;
**Early American Steamers, has this disaster happening on 1/19/1849, which is an error;
In 1846 she was equipped with 2 Iron life boats which was the first on the lakes;
the upper cabin was 135' long;
She ran Chicago to Buffalo;
Machinery: Two horizontal compound high pressure engines built at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cylinders: 24' diameter x 9' stroke; 6 boilers; Wheels, 32' diameter;
She was lost in 1850;
